Tricky Twenty-Two: A Stephanie Plum Novel
by Janet Evanovich
I have listened to all of the Stephanie Plum books on audio. The first reader was C.J. Critt and she was wonderful. They later changed narrators to Lorelei King. Apparently Janet Evanovich loves her narration of her books but I don\’t care for it. Some of her voices are okay but her Grandma Mazer one is grating.
Aside from that, this series is getting tired and a little too crude. The humor often seems forced and Lula is now too over the top for my taste. Stephanie needs to decide if she wants Joe or Ranger and stick to her decision.Yes, there were some funny moments in this book: Lula with the flea collars and Stephanie\’s mom going after the perp, It ended on a cliffhanger, so I will probably check out the new one, when it is published, but I don\’t enjoy this series like I once did.
